You can't do something you are not.

You are one of over 7.6 Billion individuals on earth. Each of us has our own uniqueness, the little differences that make us who we are.

Most of us have at least 5 core personal values that we consciously use to create the rules by which we chose to live our lives. Things like; Integrity, Honesty, Compassion, Generosity ……. etc.

It’s in your sub-conscious mind though, where your identity resides. Some of it we consciously put in there ourselves, but mostly it was created sub-consciously. Another word for your identity is your belief. What you believe about yourself.

YOU CREATED YOUR OWN IDENTITY WITH YOUR OWN THOUGHTS.

Our identities are very complex and have many aspects to them, but the one thing we all have in common is, once our identity is established, then we act in accordance with that identity. Every action that we take is subject to our sub-conscious identity. Our behaviour must match our identity otherwise we won’t be able to sustain it.

Another word for these actions and behaviours is habits and no matter how hard you try CONSCIOUSLY to change your habits, you usually find you go back to being true to your identity. Your brain is hard wired to make sure that your actions and behaviours match your identity. SUB-CONSCIOUSLY.

THE ONLY WAY TO CHANGE YOUR HABITS, IS TO FIRST CHANGE YOUR IDENTITY!

The way you change your identity is by changing the way you think. It’s all about the way I think and the 8 keys.

The first step is to get to know your identity better. Think about the labels that we put on ourselves, or those that others have put on us. Look at the typical behaviours (habits) associated with each label. Look at what’s not typical behaviour for each. If you identify with a particular label and the change you desire is about non-typical behaviours, you’ve got a problem.

YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR IDENTITY FIRST!
