Bestselling author

Col's first book, “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow – Tragedy doesn’t define you” is a memoirs/self-help hybrid. It tells of his life experience living with quadriplegia. It’s a “no holds barred” open and honest sharing of his sometimes not-so-flattering moments and the strategies he used to overcome the adversities he encountered along the way.

“Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow – Tragedy doesn’t define you” reached best seller status on Amazon in the category of Biographies of People with Special Needs and held the #1 position for over a week.

Meryl - Downloaded this book yesterday and did not move until I had finished reading. Wow!! Col did not hold back. Gutsy, no-holds-barred-no-stone-left-unturned. I laughed, I cried, I was left speechless at the absolute brutal honesty of his writings. Thank you for telling your story and for sharing your learnings from your experiences. It truly shows that we can shape our own futures if we let go of the chains of our past. I originally bought the book because of the home town connection ... I read the book because I wanted to learn how a tragedy was turned into a triumph ... I will keep the book at my side for daily reference for if/when the going gets tough!!

Rae - I have read part two (The 8 Keys) of Col’s book twice now. He has generously shared his personal philosophy to achieving meaningful and sustainable change. It’s a powerful story on personal development which will resonate with anyone on a journey to make life changes. One of the best ‘self-help’ books.

Toni - I’ve just finished reading Col Mackereth’s book, “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow:Tragedy doesn’t define you.” All I can say is WOW. What a great read!! I loved the realness of the whole book. The autobiography is so well-written. I literally could not put the book down for longer than a couple of minutes (for wee breaks). The second part of the book outlining Col’s 8 Keys to Success is also well-written, thought provoking and unputdownable. I will be rereading this part several times to help clarify my own life-goals. As a psychologist I have to say that the 8 keys section fits with the best of what we know in psychological science today. From my uni days, I struggled with some of the foundational beliefs that often still define how Psychology is offered to people wanting something to change in their lives. The 8 Keys as described by Col provide a clear understanding of what needs to happen first, second and third before we are really ready ‘to be the change we hope to see.’

Desiree - "I'm so glad I found this book. I was immediately thrown into the midst of a life changing event, told in the first person by author, Col Mackereth. His story is moving and funny and never quite what you expect. There were times I thought I'd wet my pants I laughed so hard at his expense. I sobbed at times too. It offers inspiration, evaluation and transformation. I would recommend this book! "

Tony - Just finished the book, bloody good read. Congratulations and by the way it is the first book I have ever read from cover to cover. Except for fishing and shooting mags of course.

Robyn - I would like to congratulate you on such a good read.  I started reading it in the afternoon and didn’t put it down until I finished it at 2.30am. That’s really something for me as I am not an avid reader, I’m more of a practical person (my hands always have to be busy). Some great advise as well which I will endeavour to put into practice.
